Hustlers represents some kinda first in movie history:  Never before has such an engrossing story involved this much glitter.

The violence in this movie escalates until it reaches a crescendo that is savage, cruel, and defeating, all at once.

A leaden script drowns a charismatic cast, while frantic, incoherent action scenes rob the movie of any real tension.  

What results is a strange alchemy of wry and raunchy that might surprise you with just how smart it really is.

There came a point when these Fast and Furious movies stopped doing a damn thing for me, and I can tell you exactly when it happened.

Kitchen sinks with a script that only grows more mechanical and goofy as it goes along.  

Rain rides the same schmaltz train as Journey and hits all the stops along the way, but I honestly think I would prefer it without the deluge of doggy narration.

With compassion, restraint, and considerable skill, The Farewell gives us a family whose grief both unites them, and sets them at odds with each other.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a movie made by a movie buff, for other movie buffs.

None of this Lion King is bad, but none of it is particularly inspired, either.
