The filmmakers are trying really hard to look like they’re not trying at all.  What we’re left with is a film that’s not terrible, it’s just off.

Cohen slips back into the role like a neon green mankini.  His improvisational abilities are a spectacle to behold.

As is, this movie straddles the fence between silly and dramatic, and it ends up doing neither very well. 

Much like Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland before it, Love and Monsters runs with the idea that all you really need to survive the End of Days is a smirky sense of humor and a plucky attitude.

You know those background movies you have on while you fold laundry or clean expired condiments out of your fridge?  That’s this one.

More than anything, Enola Holmes is a lark, a low-calorie mystery that never commits the sin of self-seriousness.

For 138 minutes, the filmmakers invite us to wallow in the slop, along with a platoon of unpleasant, unredeemable characters.

Antebellum ends up as a polarizing experience–an undernourished horror movie with an overpowered message.

This entire franchise is in dire need of a CTRL-ALT-DEL, and hopefully that’s coming soon.  The New Mutants is a few mutants too late.  

I wish I could describe this movie’s plot in meticulous detail, but I honestly spent a lot of it playing Techmo Bowl in my head.
