Without any appealing characters to root for, all we’re left with is a bunch of people screaming and chasing each other for 90 minutes.

Devotees of the 1998 classic will find homages sprinkled throughout the story, right alongside a host of welcome changes.

Horror skeptics take heed from one of your own:  This one might just scare the be-jeebers outta ya. 

As for me, I’ll feel safe in saying that this movie made me laugh out loud more than once.  No way?  Yes.  Way.  

For anybody in the mood for a layered, introspective drama, Jaclyn Bethany’s film is definitely worth a look. 

Whatever your political proclivities may be, Boys State is likely to make you laugh, make you angry, or even inspire you, sometimes within the span on a single speech.

The Truth may not have the punch for a great film, but it does end up being very good one.
